Another Bladder Infection

I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and just finished 10 days of antibiotics (Macrobid) for a bladder infection. This was my first infection during this pregnancy and probably only second in my entire life! Now, less than 2 weeks later, I am positive I have another one (will confirm with my doctor tomorrow). I am so scared of taking more antibiotics - I know I have to as I don't want this to turn into a kidney infection. I am so careful and drink cranberry juice every day. Do I have reason to be concerned? Will these infections interfere with the progressive growth of my baby?

With my first pregnancy I had a kidney infection and with this pregnancy I had a UTI. I am always concerned about taking antibiotics but they are perfectly safe to take. I was on macrobid too. Also I tested positive for GBS at 10 weeks and it caused UTI like symptoms so I went back on macrobid. I don't think it is anything to worry about. As long as you treat the infection I think the baby is fine. Just drink lots of water and cranberry juice and try to wear loose fitting, cotton underwear. Good luck!
