I found out at my last ultrasound (36 weeks) that my baby was a boy rather than girl.

Celia - December 19

I am soo afraid that that is going to happen to me they said im having a girl but i feel like its a boy

Celia - December 19

Mel Did you see the three white lines that they talk about with your other ultrasound.

Jessica - December 19

To Celia - i saw the three white lines that they say the baby has if its a girl! im 21 weeks pregnant right now , i guess i really wont know 100% sure till delivary!

Ooh that has got me wondering now! I was shown three white lines by my doc and told it was a girl, then 20 week u/s technician said girl, but she never showed me the lines....! Now I'm wondering if I should be prepared in case she is a boy...!! I would be very interested to hear if anybody else has been told something different..!!

it didnt happen to me but happened to my cousin.. she was told she's having a boy throughout her first pregnancy.. After she delivered her baby turned our to be a girl!! i really dont wish that happens to me i wouldnt like to see my baby boy wearing pink or my baby girl wearing only blue :p

yes. if the p___s isn't visible for some reason, the line seperating the s____m looks like 3 white lines. it's not so bad, though. just means more shopping. keep those reciepts. becuase of the last experience we opted not to find out with this one.

Friends on my fiance just had a boy and they had been told they were having a girl. I really think it's all about the experience of your u/s tech. I found out I was having a girl at my 20wk ultrasound. I am still going to paint the room pink. And anything I buy I always keep the receipts ANYWAYS (since sometimes you have so many outfits they outgrow them before they even wear them). I figure if it should turn out to be the other s_x, I'll be in the hospital long enough for them to put a new color coat of paint on the walls. ;)

from my understanding they are wrong mostly with saying it is a girl and it turns out to be a boy cause the little p___s is hard to see sometimes but in most cases they are right when they say your having a boy this is my 3rd boy and you can see very clearly it is a boy i have a pic of his little "kickstand" ha ha lol

I too was shown the 3 white dots at my 19 week, and wasnt convinced, had to have another ultrasound 2 weeks later(in the hope that bub had rolled over so they could see her heart) and was told again by a different ultrasound tech that it was a girl, and then at my 30 week ultrasound I was told once again by a different ultrasound tech, that it was a girl. To be honest im still a little scared that it will be a boy, as this is the first girl in my MASSIVE family for 14 years, and there have been heaps of boys born, and my little ashley is gonna be the first girl. I was rea__sured when i visited a site that said that seeing the three white dots(also lines) is a very valid and accurate indication of a girl. That eased my mind a little. Then i was told by my mum that the advances in ultrasound technology have really changed things, and that there are no longer as many accidental gender mishaps, which makes total sense to me. I also spoke to another woman who has had 4 kids, found out the gender with all of them, was right with all of them, that if they dont see a s____m in the 30 week ultrasound, then your pretty safe. I hope i helped you out. If I find the URL of the website I was on, I will post it here again for you all to look at.. Just remember, everyone feels the same when they find out the s_x. :)

I was told a girl at 21 week ultrasound have to have another around 28 or 30 weeks because of partial placenta previa so we will se if she really is a girl.

When i went for my ultrasound we couldnt tell what the baby was but the lady doing the scan said that they arent always correct as the genitals can be swolen up to and even after birth.
