I can not go to prenatal classes, but this is our first baby. My husband and I wanted to read up as much as possible since we cant go in person to the classes. We want to be prepared! Any suggestions?

I think the best thing is to do as much reading as you can - I also watch any shows on pregnancy and childbirth - like TLC baby story. Other than that - I went to a few cla__ses with my first pregnancy and honestly you'll learn everything from books and family or friends....but really birth is something you can't be totalled prepared for - it is always different for everyone:) Just being on this site will help you lots too! Good luck.

Do you have the book "What to expect when you're expecting"? If not thats very useful. I also like "C" watch TLC's The Baby Story. Also on the Discovery health channel they have tons of shows on. Also just read the Q&A's on here. Good Luck and keep :-)

I know this web site has lots of info....I mean info on labour and delivery, specifically the stuff you would learn if you went to prenatal cla__ses. And M, yes I do have that book, it is great, I just wanted info on breathing techniques and other pain management type stuff.
