Baby Not Moving Much During Growth Spurts

I know that a lot of babies get quiet and less active when they're going through a growth spurt. But how long does it last? I woke up on Monday morning and found that the baby had taken her growth spurt during the night. My belly was so much bigger and tight. The baby hadn't been kicking much on Sunday, so I figured the growth spurt was coming. But even now she isn't kicking very much. I still feel her periodically throughout the day, but it's not as much as before. Her kicks seem just as strong, if not stronger and I can feel her little feet in my belly much more now. Just not really often-like before her growth spurt. Do you think she is still working on growing or maybe just taking a rest before becoming my wild child again?

I wonder the same thing spakles! How far along are you? I'm 26 weeks and I've noticed the same thing. I feel kicks but not like they were. I hope someone responds who knows

Babies tend to rest alot when they are growing. Their bodys are putting the extra energy to good use. You'll probably even notice it once they are born....they'll go through a growth spurt and will sleep and eat more than they were before. But that also means they are getting bigger (obviously) and they don't have quite as much room to bounce around in there, so the feeling you get when baby moves may change. As long as you are feeling that little one periodically throughout the day it's all good!

Just wondering...how far along are you? Im 21 wks and I have a feeling that my baby is goin through some growth spurts because I can't hardly feel him/her as often as before. Is 21 wks the start for growth spurts?

I'm 24 weeks 4 days. She still isn't moving a lot, but two times yesterday she moved/kicked quite a bit for about a 1/2-1 hour. I'm feeling her peiodically throughout the day. I think she's still growing, as I'm still having ligament pain. My md said that most babies have growth spurts at certain weeks. Mine had her spurt literally right at the 24 week mark-which is one of the growth times. I don't know what other weeks babies tend to grow a lot. If I find out, I'll let you all know. Thanks, for responding!
