BH Contractions So Early

I am 23 weeks and since lunch time I have been really uncomfortable and feel like i am having minor bh that run from the front to my back... well i called my dr just to ask what i could do to stop them (also i was concerned since i have a history of early labor) and well he says to go to the hospital labor floor and they will call him. I am hating to go over to the hospital and look like a fool for making a big deal, but i also don't want to take my chances and hurt the baby. Has anyone gone through something similar? Am i being silly for going to the hospital (even though it was my dr's orders.)

No you are not being silly. Be glad that your Dr. is taking you seriously! Don't feel bad for being proactive and getting everything checked out. Much better to be safe than sorry.

I dont think your being silly. You know, you and your baby are better safe then sorry. I am 16 weeks with #3 and I have been having BH since 13 weeks so I know they can start early but its not going to hurt anything to be checked. Good luck!

Well we went to the hospital and I was hooked up to the monitor for about an hour. I had a couple small contractions so they administered the brethine shot and sent me home. I felt silly being there, but I am glad I did go just to make sure everything was okay :)
