Can I Lay On My Tummy During Massage

I've finally booked a professional massage (from a gift certificate) for Thursday. My dr. said it is completely safe and recommended, just to let them know I'm pg. I forgot to ask him though: can I safely lay on my stomach during this one-hour body massage? I've got a small baby bump (am 16w 3d) but am still comfy on my tummy. I guess my dr. would've told me not to if it weren't okay? Tell me what you think.

You should be fine...also the place that you are going may have tables where the stomach section can be removed to accomodate a growing belly. Have fun!! :o)

yeah..I'm 23 weeks and getting ma__saged. Pending on where I go they add pillows or have the tummy table. It feels so good and my tummy isn't too big but it's definitely taken a turn for the bigger here in the last few days! Enjoy your ma__sage!

Your myoma__sologist should know what's best for you. They always ask if you are pregnant (well they are supposed to) and have been trained in correct techniques (hopefully!). My sister is in this profession, so that is how I know.

Some therapist have drop tables for pregnant women, some just add a pillow underneath your pelvis area to lift your tummy a little. When you're further along, they'll ma__sage you on your side if they don't have a drop. You're fine as long as you let them know your pregnant. Watch out - ma__sages are addictive during pregnancy - Have a great time!
