Dilation Is Anyone Already Began To Dilate

I am 23 WKS pregnant and have dilated to one finger tip this is my first baby is this normal or will I have my baby early?

That's so interesting. Your doc told you that? Mine just checks my weight, blood pressure, fetal heartbeat, & fundal height. I didn't think that was measured until we're in the homestretch.

Yeh everytime i go to my midwife she just checks my blood pressure and baby heartbeat that kinda stuff..im 25 weeks.

that is strange they would check you I just went to my doc today and the nurse told me that at 36wks they start to check for dialation why would they check you so early? I think that would be a bit soon for you to dialating I mean your not concidered full term until you are 37wks and your only 23 good luck I hope everything works out ok for you

Is this your second pregnancy? Are you high risk? With my first pregnancy they never checked me and I had my son at 34 weeks so I'm more high risk now so I'm sure they'll be checking me more soon. Other than that, it's weird that they check you.

I find that peculiar as well. My doctor told me that they avoid checking this early on because too much of it can actually stimulate early dialation and premature labour...
