Doe Sanyone Get Any Cramps

Occassionally throughout the day I get what seems like a menstrual cramp.. It usually only lasts like 10 seconds or so and they are very irregular, anywhere form 1 a day to 5 or 6 a day. They definitely aren't round ligament pains - I have those too & those are way different that what these feel like. This feels more like the crampiness I had during the first trimester, actually it IS the crampiness I had during the first trimester, it just never fully went away. Has anyone had this happen too?

Lynn...i am so glad to read this...i have the same thing. Its just starting but last night i was laying in bed and i had such bad cramps. I think my baby is really low right now too because all the movement is way, way low under my belly b___ton so maybe that has something to do with it..i am 22 weeks, how about you?

I am 16 weeks. I wonder if maybe it has something to do with the baby moving and putting pressure on certian areas of the uterus?

I think that has to be what it is, i just hope that isnt a problem, i go to a high risk doctor because i have a blood disorder, so i go back on monday, i will ask the doc about the cramping and let you know, im sure it is normal though, all kinds of things are goin on in there. We are bound to feel something uncomfortable every now and then

I was JUST sitting here thinking, "why am I cramping?" I am 15.5 weeks and think it is just stretching and the baby (babies in my case) pusing against organs and things. Unless you have bleeding too, I think we're fine :).

Please, let me know Janine!

I too was just sitting here (just got back from lunch so full tummy) and was thinking how badly I have cramps (sort've like menstrual cramps). I know the books say it is normal unless you have bleeding but it is hard not to worry. My first preg. I had a placenta abruption so I am soooo freaking out!!!!

Christine - what was placental abruption like? I am at higher risk for it because I have high blood pressure and have been worried about it....how far along were you & what were your signs?

Christine - June 16

I was 26 weeks when the abruption happened - I was healthy up until that point. I was just at work 1 day (behind desk) and got really bad back pains (worse than normal). Called the DR. - they wanted to see me right away at the office. Drove there and right when I pulled into the parking lot I started bleeding bad. They checked me out and sent me to the hospital and an hour later and an emerg. c-section my son was born 2lbs 4 ozs. For whatever reason, they are not considering me high risk this time but I am being extra cautious. My first pregnancy I did everything by the book, this time I think I am even more so doing everything by the book. Even though my son is 2.5 now and healthy as can be I don't want another abruption (obviously) so just kinda hanging back and silently freaking out!!

Hey Ladies and Congrats on all your pregnancies. With my first pregnancy I had no complications meaning no Vaginal Bleeding, No Back Pain, No Menstrual Type of Cramping not even the Cramping you get when your Uterus stretches, No Morning Sickness, etc. Now since I got Pregnant with my 2nd child, when I was 6 weeks I had v____al bleeding but no cramping. I have had Menstrual and Round Ligament Cramping off and on, I have had Morning Sickness for 2 weeks in my first trimester, and I have had Back Pain off and on. I am 28 weeks pregnant. Every Pregnancy is different, I go to an OB and I am doing good. Good Luck!

I asked my doctor & he said that is was completely normal.. As long as the cramping isn't constant and lasting then it is o.k.
