I was wondering how early Braxtin Hicks can start? The last two nights while Im laying in bed it feels like my uterus makes a fist, or tightens up for a min. I dosnt hurt but I can deffinately feel it. Im 16 wks is that too early?

I have had them about that long too and am not too concerned with them. Also drink more fluid just in case you are dehydrated as this could alos be a sign.

I am in my 17th week with third pregnancy. I have felt a few of them myself, mostly when I am active or bending up and down. It is normal to feel them sooner with subsiquent pregnancies. Is this your first?

yes this is my first. My doc told me it was my uterus reacting to the "stretching".

Believe it or not. Your uterus contracts throughout your pregnancy. It is the uterus getting ready for the big day and also reaction to the constant stretching. This is very normal. I'm on my second pregnancy and have felt the contractions from day 1. With my first I was about 14 wks. Relax..it will be okay as long as they come and go and don't cause severe discomfort for long periods of time. If they do then call your Doc and request an appt.

I had my first in the bathtub this morning. All the sudden my tummy went into this bizarre shape and got really hard. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant. With my daughter, they started around 16 weeks. When she got really big, she would stretch out so my stomach would get all weird looking, and that would cause a BH contraction. It was so uncomfortable. Ugh. I wouldn't think you are too early. Be excited that your body is getting ready to bring your baby into the world.
