Well I know how you feel, although I am not so much worried now as I was before. Cutting down is good, but quitting altogether would be even better for the baby. I am not a smoker so I don't really know how you feel about quitting, but you have a little life inside of you that doesn't need a constant contamination. Maybe you should as your doc for some help with this.

It's really hard, but I quit after years of smoking as soon as I found out I was pregnant. Honestly, I never think about it now. It's hard at first but you will feel SO much better after a couple of weeks--and perhaps your worrying will subside too. There's nothing so calming as knowing you're giving your baby the best, most healthy "house" possible! If your worrying is really extreme, you might also consider talking to somebody at a local counseling center, or your doctor, or even keeping a journal. I find that really helps. Good luck.
