Hi ladies i'm 15 weeks pregnant with what appears to be a healthy baby. i heard his/her heart beat and just had an ultrasound the other day but i'm really emotional. I feel anxiety at times or like i could cry at the drop of a hat. this is starting to concern me because i'm generally a happy person. i thought the 2nd trimester was supposed to be great. i have no reason to be depressed. my husband and i are going to mexico in 3 weeks to celebrate our 2nd anniversary and my aunt has recovered from lukemia. what is my problem!!!!

You're pregnant!!! It's totally normal to be emotional. I find myself getting emotional much more often than usual. Especially for some reason, in the car on the way to work in the morning. It just happens and you're not alone. Good Luck!!

HORMONES!!!!! It doesn't matter how happy you are usually. Pregnancy does funny things to the mind and body. I have been the same way. As a matter of fact I just sat in my car on lunch break and cried for 1/2 hour. Why? I don't know... But, it happens a lot. It is just something you have to get used to for now. Sometimes I will cry for hours and then laugh at myself right afterwards b/c I don't know what is wrong with me. Pregnancy is an EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER. If you feel things are too bad then I would let your doc know b/c if it is depression then you may need meds so it doesn't effect the baby. But most likely it is just those wonderful crazy hormones. Good Luck!!!

Are you sure you're sad or are you just crying about things? There's a difference. The crying is most likely hormones.

I know how you all feel. This is my 3rd baby, I was so excited to get pregnant and now I find myself having some "blue" days too. I even cried because my kitchen cabinet doors weren't finished when the builder said they would be. Crazy stuff. I am also wanting spring to be here soon. Winter in Ohio is sooo gloomy and cold and I am a warm weather gal so I think that some sunshine and fresh warm air will help to lighten things up a bit. Take care everyone, our little babes will be here before you know it....
