Just wondering if anyone else lost a parent not long before concieving ? As some of you know I am almost 25 wks preg with another little girl but feel like I am going through this pregnancy alone, when I had my first daughter in 1999 I had my mum there with me supporting me right through and she was there with me when I gave birth to Chloe I couldnt have done it without her. Unfortunately my mum died in my arms last April aged 53 and everyday has been a struggle but I've had to go on. I became preg last yr but had m/c in Dec then concieved this one 5 wks later, I know my mum is watching over Kiera-Leigh (which is what her name will be) and will be there with me in whatever way she can but I can't stand the thought of going through labour and birth without her there in person to shout at me and tell me to push. I guess my hormones are all over the place at the moment. My partner is being great and my sister is taking my mums place at the hospital but........... So I guess what I'm asking is is there anyone else going through similar and how are you managing to cope with it?

im really sorry to hear about your mother :o(. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first, and my father died of cancer when I was like 10 weeks pregnant. He was 50 years old. It is very difficult, but I still cant imagine what you are going through not having a mother to be there for you through this. It is wonderful that you have a sister to share the experience with though. Good luck in your pregnancy and keep in mind that your mom is in a better place now and that she can definitely see and hear you still. So don't be afraid to talk to her before you go to bed at night. And if you dream of her, it usually means her energy is closeby and she is watching you. Good luck
