Fetal Movement With An Anterior Placenta

Hi everyone. I've just had my 19wk scan and was told I have an anterior placenta which would explain why I haven't felt much movement yet. I was just wondering how long it took those of you with an anterior placenta to feel any movement?

I have an anterior placenta, and am currently 22 weeks. I still only feel quite light movement, and always low down. Hope that helps. Kate

I was told that I have an anterior and low placenta during my 21wk scan, but I've been feeling movement since 14wks or so. Now I'm 23wks and used to my baby's daily punches and kicks, which can get real hard at times =) Even though they say that with an anterior placenta you will only feel movement later on, I guess it still depends on your body...every woman is different.

hi all, im the same as scarlett i am 24 wks and have a low lying anterior placenta but i have been feeling really big kicks for about 6 wks now, i think it depends on where ur baby decides to kick you and how hard. mine is actually going on one as i am writing this lol she never seems to sleep for more than 4 hrs in the day, only prob is she stops whenever my partner comes near my belly everyone else has seen the movements barr him. ur placenta can also move so i wouldnt be too worried. xxx

I, too, have an anterior placenta. I felt some movement in week 16, but it wasn't all that strong until like week 20 or so. Also, it took longer to feel movement from the outside. In fact, at 25 weeks, my hubby just now felt him kick.
