Gender And Fetal Heart Rate

Hi! Can anyone shed their own experiences on the Old Wives Tale that a girls heart rate is over 140 and a boy's is below? I am exposed to quite a few pregnant women right now who know the gender of their babies and the theory seems to hold true. I am wondering if there is some truth to this? My baby's heart rate has been 150-155.

We just found out we were having a boy, and his heart rate ranged from 143- 148

My babies heartrate is always in the 150's and he is 100% boy. It is not true at all.

I'm having a boy and first time it was 158 and the last time it was 149, so it's not true

Sorry, not true. We're having a boy and his heart rate has been between 143-150.

I know how you feel, my first visit, the heartbeat was at 170(i was rather excited which probably didn't help), then it has hovered around 150 since, so i guess it's a bit of a toss up. Everyone seems to think i'm having a boy though.

In my eperience the rate has mostly been right, below 155 I have had boys and above that I have had girls. Except for my daughter who was stubborn on the u/s we thought she was a boy but SURPRISE she was a girl!! And still stubborn I might add!!!
