Girl So They Say

Anyone nervous about a boy coming out when they say it's a girl? I'm afraid if we paint the baby's room pink and buy girl stuff a boy might come out. I saw the three lines (female genitalia) on my ultrasound, does that mean it will almost definitely be a girl? I know only an amnio is 100% accurate but I don't want to go neutral with everything!

This is the main reason I decided to go ahead and have a 4D ultrasound done. It's a lot more accurate than a regular ultrasound. This way I can be 100% of the s_x.

They said the same thing to me but weren't 100% sure either. So we're doing a light lavender in the baby's room and even though I have a few girly outfits, it won't matter. When they're that little who cares. I have a few 0-3 month pink outfits but I bought all my baby clothes at garage sales so I didn't pay hardly anything for them and can resell them next summer. I also have some baby blue outfits and a snow suit but it seems more acceptable for girls to wear baby blue than it is for boys to wear pink! Why is that??? I don't think it'll matter that early on anyway. I'm not telling anyone it's a definate girl just in case they try buying me girly stuff and it turns out to be a boy!

I had my u/s yesterday and I am 20 wks. The tech told me she "thinks" girl...I too saw the 3 lines (but I wasn't sure if that meant boy or girl) Anyways...I really thought I was having a boy and so I was shocked! I am not painting anything pink either - neutral colors...just in case. I have a 2 year old girl already so I have alot of girl stuff- won't buy anything unless it does end up being a boy. I was also wondering of the accuracy of the u/s considering you hear those stories - some places won't tell you because they do say that they are not always right!!!???

i had 5 u/s to confirm this, lol, 3 were optional 3d ones, and i have a dvd of her rpivate parts, and it's still so hard to believe after 3 boys, but i saw the three lines, got multiple confirmations, so i guess i have not wasted all of the money i spent on pink lol. am actually 32+ weeks now, and would just like to share that if you did see the 3 lines, then you are most definately having a girl, but i understand the apprehension. good luck

I too have three boys and I had A 3d u/s and they told me it was most likely a girl. Do you really think if you see three lines then its a girl, I dont and cant get excited yet, I have 10 weeks to go. Vix

Thanks ladies. To Cher-I too thought for sure it was a boy and was shocked when they said it's a girl. At my 20 week level 2 they said they think it is a girl (baby’s legs were closed) and at my 24 week growth scan ultrasound they said it is a girl and that is when I saw the three lines. To Janie-thanks for the info about the three lines. It helps me to believe it is a girl. Good luck to everyone!

My dentist was told 100% she was having a girl and just had a boy. She had the room painted pink and bought everything for a girl. They were in shock. If they told me it was a girl I would probably still do the room unis_x. I don't think they can mess up on the boy at least I hope not because the doc told me 100% boy.

At my 20 week level two ultrasound they said for sure I was having a girl-they poked and prodded her until she finally moved so they could get a good look at the three dots that indicate a girl. I think that if they can see that it is pretty for sure, don't believe them if they just say there is no boy parts though. I just had a recent ultrasound at 27 weeks and we are still having a girl, so i guess they got it right!

Any news yet, I cant satnd the suspense, back then you were 32+ so I was wondering whether you did have a girl. Please keep us posted, if you can tear yourself away from staring at you precious baby, Good Luck Vix.
