Hey girls, well today I found I got accepted to law school (i was on a waiting list) and the school is out of state. my baby would be due at the same time as finals. It is a big blow bc my dh and i decided to have our baby now bc i didnt get accepted this year. I do plan on attending either law school or going for MSW next fall, my little one will be about 4 1/2 months when i start school. My question is are any of you in a similar situation or going through grad school with a baby? i am scared to death!!

I am 15 weeks now (of a planned pregnancy, which does make it easier I think) and in my second year of Med school. I figure the first 5 months should be ok, with my husband able to take a few weeks off and then a little break before clerkship, but after that, the s**t is really going to hit the fan, when I start clerkship. That's the term they use for 2 years worth of 10-30 hour days on the floors! Lots of single moms seem to balance work/school with kids, so if you have some support around it should work out ok. Can you defer until next year? Some schools will allow that for a couple students each year.Good luck with it all!
