Has Anyone Switched Doctor S During Pregnancy

My first doctor seemed great until I started having some problems and I needed to contact her outside of office hours. I didn't really care if it was her, her nurse, or the on call staff which called back. But no one did. Three different times, I have attempted to call about various things (high blood pressure, dental emergency, and spotting) and no one ever returned my call. Last week, I called and left a message saying I wanted to talk to the Doctor about this (unable to do so at appointments because we're so rushed by her) because we thought we might change. It's been over a week and she hasn't called. If one of my patients was thinking of leaving, I would definately call. So we've found a new doctor and we're just going to suck up the fact that we had already pretty much paid all the doctor's fees.

She sounds terrible!! I would switch doctors, without question. And maybe write her a brief letter explaining why--she should know.

Yeah, I switched doctors at the beginnning of my pregnancy when I had spotting around 6 weeks and gave me some medication, wouldnt go away and didnt do anything about it. I changed doctors immediately and he is great!

Hi-sounds like my old doc!!! She always made us feel as though she was hearding cattle along then taking time with us-I had to switch 2 weeks before my due date-best thing I ever did-I had gest. diabetes-and heart problems-(old doc never said anything) thought everything was fine till a new doc saw me she was outraged! I too, paid for all fees and got no $$ back, but I love my new doc now!!
