Heart Amp Pregnancy

My wife is in the beginning of her 2nd trimester. Its our 1st baby. She is 36 and has High BP. Since her cough was not subsiding, her doctor asked her to consult a cardiologist, to whom she went today. He said that she some irregularities in the heart and tomorrow she has to undergo some tests after which he will let us know the situation. My concern is that, is it advisable for her to continue with her pregnancy. Will she be able to cope up with it. I am away in another country and since she conceived when we both went on our annual leave I left her back under her mother's care as she had a missed abortion last year. I love her and miss her terribly and want to go back. However I am stalled because of certain financial problems. I hope everything will be fine. Can someone give me some genuine advice.

I would think the doctors would have to be the ones to decide whether it is advisable for her to continue with this pregnancy. Coping comes to everyone in different ways, but I am sure it is much harder for any woman whose husband is in a different country. Although it seems you really need answers now, why don't you wait to find out what is wrong with your wife's heart before trying to make any decisions. Perhaps she will only need monitoring throughout the remainder. I can honestly tell you that after a miscarriage (missed abortion) if something goes wrong and she is unable to continue with this pregnancy, you should find a way to get home to her - ask your families for help.
