Well I might be wrong but 40 weeks is really 10 months so I would say 20 weeks is 5 months. It really depends on which website you look at. Everyone says something different. If you average 4 weeks per month it gives you 10 months.

5 months up untill 22 weeks then you start the 6th month.

According to the book What to expect when your expecting, The fifth month begins at 18 weeks and goes til 22. :)

5 months. (Between the 18th and the 22 week.) This is around the time that the doctor will be able to tell the s_x of the baby!

I am reading the same book as Jennifer_33106 and I agree. My doctor confirmed that as well.

I was just wondering the same thing today. I'm 16 weeks, 3 days and when I tell people the number of weeks, they start asking me about morning sickness and telling me that I'm not that far along. I know I'm not THAT far along, but considering how horrible I felt during the first trimester, I think I've made some progress and I want some credit. LOL Anyway, I found this terrific chart (of course everyone has different opinions, but still): --ok, I can't post the URL so here's a summary: 1-4 weeks = 1st month 5-8 weeks = 2nd month 9-13 weeks = 3rd month 14-17 weeks = 4th month 18-21 weeks = 5th month 22-26 weeks = 6th month 27-30 weeks = 7th month 31-35 weeks = 8th month 36- 40 weeks = 9th month

Nice summary scubakitty, thanks for sharing. I've also been giving people how many weeks I am and unless they have had children they tend to be a little confused by this information.
