You may want to look into getting Zofran...my cousin had really bad sickness and they gave that to her. She felt much better. Good luck!!

Unless you have other things going on that would make you think something was wrong, I wouldn't worry. I had HORRIBLE nausea and vomiting until I was almost 20 weeks. I couldn't keep a thing down and lost weight until about 22 weeks.I'm 31 weeks now, and me and the baby are fine. Some people just react different to the hormones. And as far as vitamins, my doctor told me I could take flinstones chewables. They have folic acid, zinc, and much more. They may not be as good as prenatal vitamins, but if you can't keep them down, what good are they doing you anyway?? At least try to find something you can keep down. And regardless, the baby will get nutrition from stores in your body. I don't know if this will help you, but the one thing I found I could keep down was an apple and gla__s of water. It was small and nutritious!! I hope I was some help to you. Good Luck....It WILL get better.

I am currently 16 weeks as well and still have nausea and vomiting as well. About two weeks ago it was so severe (vomitting blood and bile evey ten minutes) that I was forced to go to the hospital. I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition of severe morning sickness that occurs in only 1% of pregnant women (lucky me, right?) The injected me with two liters of fluids and 16 mgs of Zofran (I had been prescribed phenergan suppositories at two varying levels earlier to no avail). Anyway, my point is, don't be stupid like I was and wait until the sickness was so terrible (I have also lost 15 lbs in this process) that I had to be hospitalized. See your doctor now--there are medicines you can take to rectify the problem. My NVP has not completely disappeared, but I am much better with the Zofran and am at least able to keep down some foods some of the time. (and don't feel too guilty about taking drugs to help the situation--sometimes you just have to weigh the odds;what's more important- yours and your baby's lives and weight, or having a drug free pregnancy?)

What exactly's in Zofran?

Dia - December 3

Zofran is medicine that they usually give to cancer patients on chemotherapy to help with their side effect of nausea. My cousin took it throughout her entire pregnancy, when needed, because she was an unlucky one that was sick constantly. Hope this helps.

Somewhat, but I'm still wondering what's in it.
