I Know Its Spring But I Have A Flu Vaccine Question

hi ladies, with all the autism info lately, I've gotten worried about the flu vaccine I received very early in pregnancy. I think I recieved the vaccine as early as 5-6 weeks pregnant. While I know studies say there is no link between thermisol and autism, I am curious as to how much of the vaccine is absorbed by the baby. Do all adult flu vaccines still contain mercury? I know its a bit late to be thinking of this, but i was hoping someone could reassure me. Also, I am having a boy and I know boys are at an increased risk.

Don't spend to much time worrying! They do say that you should get one after the 1st trimester but you are already in your 2nd so clearly it didn't cause to much harm right away. I would a__sume the majority of adult vaccines have termisol in it. Just talk to your doc about. I am sure all is just fine. that little babe is protected!

Yes, the flu vaccine does have thimerosal in it, which is comprised of 50% mercury. Just like with everything else, try not to dwell on it. What's done is done and you can't undo it. It's akin to that gla__s (ok, two or three) of wine I had just before taking a pg test. You know what I mean? No idea how much the baby absorbs and I bet doctors don't know either. If there was a study published I bet it wouldn't offer positive information to the vaccine manufacturers. Congrats on your second baby boy and just do whatever is right for you moving forward. Chances are things will be absolutely fine.
