i'm really concerned that hard sex will give the baby brain damage. i told my husband that we should make slow, soft, love, not hard f-in, body's smackin. how can that hard movement be okay for the baby? i tried to look it up on the internet but all i can find is how sex is okay, but it doesn't get specific. what do you ladies think?? besides this being silly, i know :)

I would say that sex is fine, I don't believe that it can hurt the baby, since the baby is behind the cervix, but having rough sex during pregnancy could possibly give you a UTI (which you definately don't want while pregnant) you may bleed a little and I'm sore there are a few other reasons why, but I would avoid the really rought stuff for now, it probably isn't very comfortable for you anyway. My husband and I only do whatever feels comfortable and doesn't hurt.

what's a UTI? well it feels great but i'm scared that him pounding me that hard will hurt the baby. i'm sorry, i'm so blunt but i don't know how else to ask it. i see my dr. next week and i will ask her too.

A UTI is a Urinary Tract Infection. I don't think it can hurt the baby, but how hard are we talking here? My hubby and I still have sex, but it has to be more gentle now, only cause I sometimes find it uncomfortable...I would say as long as its not hurting you...ok, but ask your doc for sure!

crystal74 - October 18th, 2006 2:15 PM

well it doesn't hurt, but we're talking slappin skins, smack smack. LOL

chrissi79 - October 18th, 2006 2:17 PM

I'm sure you're fine, but it is a good idea to make sure with the doc. How far along are you anyway?

crystal74 - October 18th, 2006 2:44 PM

i'm 21 weeks today, woohoo!!!. i feel like i look like i'm 7 months though. i'm huge and have tons of stretch marks on my belly, bikini line, and boobs. do you guys take it easy during sex or not?

chrissi79 - October 18th, 2006 2:47 PM

We do, yes. Its only cause it can be uncomfortable for me...I wish it wasn't...cause sometimes you need the relief you know?! LOL

crystal74 - October 18th, 2006 3:27 PM

i know what you mean. sometimes i feel like if it isn't hard then it just doesn't do it for me.

"brain damage"???!! You are so funny! Not unless your dh has a 4 foot penis! LOL! The baby is inside a sealed bag inside a closed cervix--your husband can't reach his/her head! that's funny!

crystal74 - October 18th, 2006 7:24 PM

i know lala, i knew it was silly but i had to ask.. my dr. is probably going to laugh at me when i ask her

I too find it uncomfortable to have sex, my husband is really suffering!!! I even find i am a little more sensitive "down there".. and the things I used to love i HATE!!

Sonrisa - October 22nd, 2006 4:57 PM

I usually start having the desire around the late afternoon but by the time that he gets home and we eat dinner and clean up after dinner...i am exhausted. We pretty much only have sex now on weekends where in the past we were active a few times a week. I still enjoy it though...i just wish i had more energy.

thanks ladies, i know i'm so blunt, but come on, we all do it:) hey love - - since i got pregnant, i've used coco butter, vitamin E, belly butter, and itching oil for pregnancy and i have to say they really make my skin so soft and have helped fade the marks. but my doc says, there genetic, so there's no way stopping them. i just hope they don't go past my belly button, but i'm afraid they are.
