Wow. We are all such big talkers! It's so exciting :) I am sorry to hear about everyone's bf/dh problems. Guys can be major jerks. I had trouble trusting mine because I could never tell when he was joking or when he was serious. I don't think he ever cheated on me, but I guess I will never really know. We have been doing alright lately. Sometimes I get a little skeptical of things that he does, but I am sure everything is fine. Ugh.. I just don't know. I have seen messages before too that I wasn't supposed to see I guess. I tried not to let them get to me. We are with each other all of the time except when he is working, and he doesn't have a chance to do anything he shouldn't during that time. Alicia, I think that once the baby is here, your bf will get better. He will realize that he has to be more responsible when he sees the baby's face. I don't really have anything exciting for you girls today, sorry, lol. My boyfriend DID feel the baby kicking last night though, so that was pretty neat. Ever since she started, she hasn't stopped much :) I think she is trying to say, "Get me out of here I am ready for the world!"

Ladies I'm so sorry to hear about the rough times you are having or have had with your dh/bf's. It sounds like you are all strong ladies, and I'm sure you will figure out what's best for you and your babies - in the meantime you can always vent here! Luna I know what you mean - baby was a madperson yesterday! Kicking and kicking and kicking. You can really feel my belly bumping up now when he/she does it, it's pretty cool. Hitting the doc today about my back - we'll see what she recommends.

Hey all. Sarah, hopefully they can give you some relief for your back. It is no fun.. it hampers everything you do. Let us know what they say. Anyone having contractions?? I was really active last night running around with my son, getting a fire started, cleaning, cooking, giving a bath, and vacc_med... and started to feel contractions... Drank a large gla__s of water and laid on my left side for a while... then they stopped. I read that this is normal with alot of activity, but get concerned since I went into preterm labor with my son at 26 weeks.. YIKES! That is coming up! Praying that does not happen here. My next appt is a week from tomorrow.... so I will be sure to bring this up to her. I know if you are too active, or don't drink enough it can cause you to start having contractions.. Not all contractions open your cervex... but it is scary.. Babies are getting bigger now... but not big enough to be on their own yet.

Alicia & Sarah - I am so sorry to hear about your trust issues. I truly hope things get better for you both. My problem is minor in comparison - I know I can trust my husband. He doesn't have a dishonest bone in his entire body. It's just the beer drinking that drives me nuts. Down - You seem to be a much stronger woman than I am! No way could I have stuck around. You must be an amazing woman!

Morning ladies! How's everybody doing? So when is the next big u/s for somebody? We need another one soon!!! : ) I'm starting to get concerned now because the last couple of days I haven't felt my little boy as much...and with some of you saying you're feeling them a lot more and all the time, I'm wondering if something is wrong. I know I worried over this before and within a couple of days saw a healthy baby, but I just can't help but to think about it. I still feel him, but it's just not all of the time and very random when I do feel it. Although I have felt like I'm going through a growth period right now...which I'm sure means he is too and I read on another thread that a girl was told by her doc that when baby is going through these growth spurts they sleep more and aren't quite as active. Only to return days later with much stronger and active kicks/punches : ). I'm hoping that's the case for me right now! Pebbles you had better take it easy girlfriend! I don't know if I would know what a contraction felt like if I was having them...but the sonographer did ask me when I was having the u/s if I had been drinking enough water the past few days because my uterus was contracting a lot which was causing her to have a difficult time with pictures. So ever since then I have been CHUGGING the water! : ) But you better take it easy and I'd say if it happens again to call the doctor...but it also sounds like you know how to get it under control and as long as you continue to listen to your body and rest when you need to you should be ok. What did they have to do for you when you went into preterm labor with your son at 26 weeks? Sarah I really hope the doctor can help you out with your back pain or at least refer you to someone who can offer some relief. Last year at this same time I was completely laid up on the couch with a herniated disc in my lower back and it was the worst pain and time of my life! Dh literally had to help me on and off the toilet, and forget trying to get in a car! Luckily with a lot of bedrest, physical therapy and ma__sages it barely gives me any grief anymore...but I'm REALLY hoping it's strong enough to handle the rest of my pregnancy because just hearing you talk about your back pain just brings it all back so fresh in my mind and I do not want to go through that again. I will definitely be thinking and praying for you because I know what it's like and how debilitating it is...I hope it feels better quickly!!! Alicia, less than a week until your u/s!!! Are you getting sooooo excited? I am sure you are...it's the most excited I've gotten for anything in my life I think! And such a memorable day...I know that will be one neither myself or my hubby will forget.

aliciavr6 - January 18

Hi Kelly11! I'm super excited, it'll come quickly I think because of the weekend. I just wish I was able to take the whole day off work. But at least I'll be able to share the news with my work homies.

Well, just called the OB nurse and left her a message. Feeling that tightening again on the inside.. but not on the outside. Maybe need to be checked for bladder infection.. We'll see what she says. I absolutly cannot afford to go on bedrest!! YIKES! Well, not to get ahead of myself.. We'll see what doc says. Too bad hubby is out of town right now!! Kelly, I would try not to worry too much about lack of movement. I went a few days without much from little one and then who you talked about is right.. they come back stronger than ever! Plus it depends on the position of the baby too and if they are up nights. There is 8 hours in our day that we are sleeping and don't know if they are kicking at that time.. I was up last night a few times and once baby was kicking and moving. So don't get too worried.. keep it in the back of your head and if it is still bothering you in a few more days I would give doctor a call. Just tell them you are not feeling as much movement.. and doc_ment when you do feel it. We are too early yet for kick counts.. but would be good for you to have on hand. Mark when you felt it during the day.. Remember too that baby is comforted by our movement... so when we are moving.. alot of times baby sleeps or we cannot feel baby move... Just my take on the whole thing.

Thank you Pebbles, I am sure you are right and I shouldn't worry, especially after such a good u/s last week...but I think it's just natural concerns right? It doesn't help that I have a littel bit of what I like to call my "winter coat" on top of my preggo tummy so maybe my added fat is making it harder to feel. I know that I feel him sometimes and I have a feeling he's active at night like you mentioned. The sonographer even told me that being able to feel it at 19 weeks with your first pregnancy is very good and that it won't be more often until later...so I really SHOULDN'T worry, but I just can't help it! Silly me. Plus I just want dh to be able to feel it so bad and I have a feeling it will be a while before he can : (. Oh well, I know it will be here before I know it and everything is probably just fine. How are you feeling with the tightening situation? I really hope it's not contractions and it's just a bladder infection or something---not that I would ever wish that upon someone, because I know how horrible they can be...but that would probably be better than contractions right? So I was just looking on babygap and oh my gosh they have some cute little boy clothes! I'm having a hard time not whipping out my gap card and buying stuff : )

Have any of you had to see a specialist for a failed triple screen test?

pebblesnbambam - January 18

Thanks JB.. I am parinoid that it is preterm labor since that is what happened last time. I did go to 39 weeks with my son.. so chances of going full term again is really good!! Just want to make sure I am not actually in labor. They are infrequent so I am guessing Braxton Hicks but better check the bladder infection and rule out other. We'll see what she says. Wish she would call.. what.. she only has like 400 other patients.. WHAT IS TAKING HER SO LONG :) Nice to know others are having BH contractions too. They say with your 2nd, 3rd etc pregnancys they get stronger and you know what they are. JB... is doctor monitoring weight.. if you have been able to take it off in the past I am sure you will be able to do the same this time. I gained 24ish pounds with son.. and right now I am holding at a 8 pound weight gain and I am 20 weeks.

JB - January 18

The doctor is not monitoring my weight, and I'm by no mean dieting, just watching what I eat. The BH I get are just really uncomfortable at times. My OB told me it's what to expect with this being my 4th. I didn't think they would start so soon, but according to him it's completely normal. How many children do you have? I wish you best of luck.

pebblesnbambam - January 18

This is my second pregnancy. I have a 3 year old. I am hoping that is just what this is... guessing that is what it is... but I guess I live by.. better safe than sorry! We pay the doctors to listen to our worries... so better make them earn it.. Just kidding.. they are amazing! It is a hard thing to see yourself gain weight... and for once in our lives it is accepted.. but still scrutinized... esp by us! Thanks for the well wishes and sharing your story. Heading home for the day... so I will update tomorrow. Have a great night

JB - January 18

jen- no, I haven't failed the test. Is that what the doc told you? Are they sending you for any additional testing?

excited2bemama - January 18

Hi ladies!! Kelly I totally know what you are going through with the movement. I feel the baby alot and a few days ago I felt nothing for like 3 days straight- I got so worried but then just like that she starting wiggling again. Its freaky but I guess they do that. Thats when i wish I had one of those doppler thigies so I listen to the HB. Ok so how pathetic am I??? The dressor for the baby's room got delivered today and I have already washed liek three loads of baby clothes and put them away in the dressor ( i went to a thrift store and got like 30 outfits for 15.00). We already set up the crib.... and I am only 20.5 weeks!!! Anyone else that crazy? I always have to do everything very far in advance though. :o)

Well they called me yesterday and said my baby was a positive test for Down Syndrome. After I gasped I asked was there a number a__sociated with the test and she said "yeah i think so hang on" then she told me it was a ratio of 1: 683 and that they made me an appointment with a Perinatologist for Feb 5th. I did a lot of reading last night and found that a 30 yr women chance is 1 in 900 so I am not that far off, but the way it ws put to me was very tough to take. I just got so upset yesterday crying and such and I know that I can't keep doing I creid so much that I have a headache that I can't get rid of even today. I have been eating the Tylenol every 4 hours with no luck yet. I find out what I am having next week from my doctor and have a lot of questions for her...she is out of town or I would be calling her but I was just curious if anyone knew what the Specialist would do when I see him, I was told a u/s but not sure what else.

aliciavr6 - January 18

Pebbles, I hope you feel better, I'm sure it's nothing but you are right, better safe than sorry! I just got an email that the consumer reports test done on infant child seats was incorrect, they were tested at 70mph rather than 35mph. "Consumer Reports magazine backed off Thursday from its recent negative report on infant car seats, saying test crashes were conducted at speeds higher than it had claimed."
