Hey Guys, as suggested I've created a new post this morning for the next part to our June Mommies Journey!

Lou_and_Bump - January 15

I can't wait - less than 48 hours till I found out whether I'm having a boy or a girl! Woohoo!! Alistair is in Munich for a business meeting so some of my family have decided to come over while he's away. So tomorrow I have my Mum, Brother, Sister in Law and niece flying over from Scotland - yay so super excited!!

Morning ladies, or probably more like afternoon for you Lou! I'm feeling so slow and fat today. Have any of you guys started feeling like that yet? I've gained about 10 pounds (I'm 20 weeks today--yeah! halfway through!), and I feel like it's all in my stomach just weighing me down and making my back hurt! Not fun! That's cool you have family coming over, Lou! While I generally keep pretty close contact with my family by phone, my family is about 500 miles away, and DH's is about 2000, so I don't see them that much. Believe me I'm fine with his mother being that far away though (evil grin!).

Rachel29 - January 15

Oh, and can't wait to hear what you're having! Do you have a feeling either way?

Sprinkles - January 15

Morning ! Rachel I feel like that - I cant say I am all stomach yet but I have insane lower back pain although I have had problems with my lower back since my daughter was born so this just adds to it.

Lou_and_Bump - January 15

Hey Rachel, I'm really not sure. My original gut was girl but because people keep changing their minds it's making me doubt my gut feeling... We'll see! It must be hard for your hubby at times - although I guess more typically women in general are the ones who prefer to have family closer, (maybe not the in laws though ;) Well done you on getting to the half way mark!! I've gained almost a stone since I got pregnant. So do you think the second half is going to go faster or slower?

Morning! Lou, can't wait 'til you find out....I'm excited for you:) rachel, yep....totally relate -probably even more so, since I'm just past 20 weeks and have gained a whopping 18 pounds!!!! It is all in my belly too, and ppl tell me that from behind, they can't even tell I'm pregnant...which sounds ok, except that I'm really starting to feel like I've got a big sack of flour stuck to my belly that I have to lug around each day. However, I'm VERY happy that since it's just my belly growing, I'm still able to wear my own pants with the help of my bella band (I love my bella band!) I find that I go through stages....the past week I haven't been 'tired', now for the past couple of days I have been. Oh well, 1/2 way there! Dawn, is there anything you can take for your back? or what about ma__sages???

Rachel29 - January 15

I was just going to ask about the bella band! I think I will go out and get one tonight! Also, do you guys get like I don't know if it's cramps or what under your belly like maybe where your bladder would be? I'm not sure if this is round ligament pain or what, but it sure is uncomfortable! I'm hoping the bela band can help with that.

eastcoast - January 15

The bella band I got is by Ingrid & Isabel. It's one of the expensive ones ($35-$40), but since ppl have told that they've gone and bought belly bands at maternity clothing stores that haven't been very good, thought I'd just spend the $ on one that ppl have told me is great -and I have to agree...I'm very happy I bought one! Plus, I figure I probably would have spent at least that much on mat pants anyways;) Rachel, I think I know what you're talking about and it sounds like it might be just normal stretching, with me though I think it is the baby sitting on my bladder -sorry if tmi, but sometimes it hurts so bad, I can't even pee! I have to get up and move around 'til the baby (or whatever it is) shifts and then I feel better. I don't know if a bella band will help with whatever pain you're having, but it certainly provides a lot of support for my buddha belly...which just kind of sits on top, and adds some shape to my waist and hip area -which is nice since everything around my belly seems to be spreading.

Hey eastcoast ! im not a big medicine person so i just suffer through it ...like i will with labor haha I know in the past doctors have told me its because my ab muscles arent strong enough so I have a workout tape for pregnant women and since i just past the 20 week mark my doc is ok with me starting it Ma__sages is a good idea .. i wonder if they have special ones for preggies?

Sprinkles - January 15

Eastcoast I heard people say that those bands tend to roll up or down when you sit or walk around does that happen with yours? that is the only reason i haven't bought one yet - I have pretty big hips then my waist gets smaller so things tend to roll up on me alot and i dont want to waste more money ..

Well I am still waitng for the preliminary amnio results. They should be in today I would think. But it is nerve racking !But then I will be able to relax for the rest of the time. I have a bella band that I just love also. I have 1 pair of pre preggo jeans that I can still wear. I have only gained 8 pounds they say, but it must all be in my belly !!I look about like I did when I had my oldest ! But that was 15 years ago and I was smaller to begin with. Oh well, It's all for the baby !!! I'll worry about the weight after he/she comes, then I'll hit the gym !

Rachel29 - January 15

I totally know what you're talking about eastcoast. I have thought that it might be the baby sitting on my bladder too, but wasn't sure. Actually yesterday, I went to pee and I felt something kind of bulge out in my lower tummy. It was the strangest feeling! It didn't hurt exactly, but it was weird. I think things are probably just stretching out, and the baby is all over! Thanks for the info.

Lou_and_Bump - January 15

Hey Michelly, good luck on your results - I know how the waiting feels as the results on my CVS were late. If possible try and find things to occupy your mind, although that is sooo much easier said than done!

Rachel29 - January 15

I hope you get good results from the amnio, Michelly. I know that's got to be hard waiting! I'm still deciding if it's something that I want to do or not. I'm going to decide at my next ultrasound if I want to do it based on how things look. Right now I have a 1-300 chance of downs because of a dilated kidney, (I think most of you know already), so I think I'll just see how things look. Next Wednesday is my next ultrasound!

Lou, I'm so excited to hear what you're having this week! Michelly, I'm sure everything will be okay. Those tests have so many false positives. ;-) I measured myself the other day. My high waist went from 35 to 33.5, and my belly/hip area is 41.5. Low waist is 35. The measurements change weekly, but the inches just shift around!!! Which means I still haven't gained weight back yet, and I'm starting to get really afraid I'm going to gain an enormous amount suddenly. eeeek. :-P I'd rather be like all of you and already have gained some of the weight!

HeatherIsHopeful - January 15

hey guys... guess who has an interview tomorrow at Babys R us! :) wish me luck.
