I am 19 1/2 weeks right now. We went last week to find out what s_x the baby was. My daughter (4 yrs old) went with us. She was hoping for a girl and when the tech told her it was a boy she said she did not want it and to get a new one. She is fine with it now and all excited that she is going to have a baby brother. Then yesterday morning, while she was kissing and blowing on my belly and talking to the little guy, she asked me when her brother was coming. I told her not for a long time. Sometime after Santa comes to visit. So what does she say?? When dad gets home tell him to get the Christmas tree down and Santa would come tomorrow. LOL Kids gotta love them. Whenever someone asks what his name is we tell them and she says NO its BABY. This part has nothing to do with the baby but last night I was in bed and my DH stayed up and watched a little more tv. I finally fell asleep after uncomfortablness for about an hour and he comes to bed. I did not here him get in bed what woke me up is he brought a bag of Skittles to bed with him wtf? So I wake up to wrestling of the bag the damn candies hitting his teeth and then he smaks them like gum!!! UGH! I told him to go back on the couch. My daughter heard this and asked why he was on the couch and not in bed and he said mom is grouchy. So I said dad woke me up because he was eating Skittles in bed. My daughter said "Dad you told me I could not have skittles in bed and either can you. No special treats for you tomorrow. 4 year olds gotta love them. Last weeks she walked into our room. The door was shut because DH was taking a shower. She decided to go into the room and caught him naked. Not too big of a deal but she screamed (oour windows were open) Oh my gosh dad your Gina is hanging out. Babys will always make you smile but 4 yr olds will have you on the floor rolling around laughing. Congrats to all and enjoy your children.

I know exactly what you mean. My son is just about to turn 5, and I think the funniest thing he said to me lately went something like this: My son's been starting to chafe (sp) around his groin b/c of the heat. He was laying on his bed crying his eyes out b/c he was in pain. I put cornstarch on him and asked him what I could do to make it better. He looked up at me and said "Oh, Mama I need a band-aid for my b___t and p___s." I thought it was too cute. I'm 13 weeks pregnant now. My son told me that he wants a baby brother. I asked him what do we do if its a girl. He told me "well I guess we could bring her home." I think so far 4 has been the best age. These kids have no idea how funny they are, nor do they realize that they are our best friends. At least my son is to me. Good luck and health to you.

I agree with the 4 year old thing. Well my son is almost 4, and he was telling me something while I was cooking. I was listening, but I guess not good enough. He said "mom, are you paying attention; you have to listen to me." I told him I was sorry, but I was trying not to laugh in his cute little face. PLUS he keeps telling people "I am going to be a big brother so that means I am big". Then he says but Brianna (girl in tummy now) is not done yet!!! Funny Stuff!!!!

well girls, here's another funny kid story: i'm sitting at the breakfast table with my two boys and newborn baby, and we're eating cornflakes. my two-and-a-half year old has recently given up b___stfeeding and still feels a bit down about it. i've been telling him the baby needs to b___stfeed because he has no teeth to eat with, and isn't it awful, and poor little him, etc, etc....so i say how terrible it is that the baby can't eat cornflakes with us and it's all because he doesn't have any teeth! all of a sudden, my four-and-a-half year old blurts out, "well let's go up to the store and buy him some teeth to eat cornflakes with!". needless to say, i was floored!!!!
