Laparoscopy Scars Amp Quot Outtie Quot Navel

My navel is heavily scarred from laparoscopic surgery 2 years ago (I had an ectopic pregnancy). I have always been easily scarred, and these lines are VERY thick and tough. Now that I am 22 weeks, I wonder if (or when) my navel will pop out... of if it even can with this heavy scar tissue? I know that some women who have laparoscopy still pop out, but I have never known anyone whose scarring was as tough and thick as mine. Just curious if anyone has experienced this...?

Hi I dont know the answer to your questions but just wondering the same thing myself. I am only 14 weeks but at my 12.5 week ultrasound the girl said she could see the scar tissue from my two Lap. surgeries. It made the ultrasound a little more difficult in those areas. I definetly have a pronounced divet at my belly b___ton (big lower pooch and one above belly b___ton). It makes me look fat not pregnant. Which is quite irritating... Do you have the same problem. Thanks for responding, Angela. I did have the same thing you describe... the lower pooch and pooch above the navel... until just very recently. When my uterus hit my navel area, the two sort of "joined" and gave me a nicely rounded belly that makes the pregnancy much more obvious. This happened at about 20 weeks.

Hi - November 27

I had a lap. procedure a few years ago and then I got pregnant with my son. My beely b___ton never popped out, though it was stretched. My scar isn't that bad, but you can't even see it due to all the stretch marks I got.
