Is anyone else having really strange cravings?? I am 20 weeks and it just hit me like a brick. Yesterday for a snack i had american cheese, pickles, and salty chips (all at once) today i craved a combination of pickles, key lime pie yogert, and pretzels!! Is anyone else having wacky cravings??

I don't eat them together but i do eat a bowl of ice cream and then when i am finished and placing my bowl in the sink i always grab a pickle. i am a pickle fanatic even if i eat chocolate cake. its sort of gross if you think about it. But you go from salty to sweet like that :)

In the beginning all i craved was lima beans and cottage cheese. No I am 20 wks. and crave ice cold everything. But the best thing in the world to me right now is ice cold watermelon. Yummy!!!

Hannahbaby, I haven't had many cravings and I'm a health food junky for the better part. This morning after the farmer's market I stopped at a regular grocery store, bought white bread, mayonaise, and potato chips. When I got home, I made a sandwich on the bread with mayo, potato chips, cheddar cheese and lettuce. What made me think about it or even want it, I don't know. But it was, by far, the best thing I have ever eaten. So I would have to say I'm right there with ya when it comes to wacky!

Yea im glad that at least im not craving ice cream and chocolate candy this time. Last pregnancy i gained 20 lbs in 2 months due to eating all the discounted halloween candy i could find!! I have no junk food in the house because im scared ill eat it. (we had the chips because we had a bbq last weekend)

Hey Hannahbaby. Yeah, the other day I was eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream and my dh made pop-corn. Well, the ice cream had melted and I just had this urge to mix the pop-corn in with the chocolatey slop. It tasted sooooo good, but my dh kept looking at me like I was crazy. Also, a turkey sandwhich with crushed potato chips, and a peanut-b___ter and pickle sandwhich (which is d__n good). Now I'm craving feta cheese, and I'm so sad because I'm not supposed to eat it.

oh yuck! I am so glad I really don't have any wild cravings. Just hearing the ones hear makes me cringe some. I just found that if I get hungry for something, I stay hungry for it until I get it. My fav food is pizza, and now I can't stand to really eat it. I hope it doesn't change too much, I don't like pickles anyway but I don't think I would be able to handle the cravings you guys eat, lol!

ha yeah nothing too too weird yet but i ate a hot dog with relish the other day and i freaking hate relish...(and hot dogs)

dee23 - May 30

umm..u shouldnt really be eating hot dogs.....

carol23 - May 30

I eat yogurt with Pistachios mixed in it. And I also put pistachios in my cottage cheese. I don't think my cravings are weird, but my husband thinks they're gross. How is putting nuts in anything gross?

venus i'm with you on hot dogs. a grilled hot dog sounds SO good right now!!! i've also discovered something brand new that i can't live without is store-bought cherry pie. I swear I could eat a gallon of the filling...!

Haha! you all crack me up! I like peanut b___ter toast with bananas on it and like flower momma, the turkey sandwich with chips on it...yum!!! I've also eaten some hot dogs, but my doc says go ahead, just make sure that they are heated up all the way.

venus_in_scorpio - May 30

yeah i know hot dogs arent too good for ya but in moderation theyre fine when heated. can't keep baby in a bubble...(lol he/she is in a bubble) my mom did with me and I swear to god i am allergic to everything and was all sickly for the first 10 years of my life.

venus_in_scorpio - May 30

peanut b___ter and bananas is awesome even when ur not pg!!!!!!

Again, I'm with you on that venus. I've never stuck too closely to all "the rules". I did with my first two pregnancies and both were miscarriages. This time I'm on the "everything in moderation" side of the fence and not only are me and baby doing great, but I feel much better all the way around. More energy, less cranky, and - of course - HUNGRY. :-)
