i am about 16.5 weeks is it still possible to miscarry? i have heard of women having them this late, what causes most miscarriages?

Hi angel, yes it is possible to still m/c at this point, but the likelihood is greatly reduced. There can be a number of reasons for a m/c. Don't worry, the chances of you having one at this stage are minimal! Good luck!! :)

if you were to miscarry at 23 weeks or beyond, would it be a misscarriage, or would you actually go into labor and give birth?

It would not technically be considered miscarriage beyond 23 weeks (and actually, for late-term abortion, which is generally anytime after the first trimester, a woman is induced, so it's considered giving birth), but obviously as time goes on, it's easier for a baby to survive on its own & have a better chance at life & not being sickly. Hope this helps.
