Moving Out Of Town

My husband just got a new job offer 5 states away that will move us when I am about 32 weeks pregnant! Any suggestions on how to deal with the stress of starting over with a new practice just before the baby comes? It's my first and I'm nervous enough as it is

I'm nowhere near as far along as you are, I'm 14w, but about 10 days ago we moved from CO to FL and I went to a new doc that I totally didn't like, but she is sending me to a high risk doc, so thankfully I won't have to see her again! I just think that you have to jump in there and find a doc who you and your dh click with and one that agrees with your labor plan. Good luck.....I'm sure that everything will be great!

LOL, my husband is military and we have to move when I will be about 36 WEEKS, I am not sure exactly how well that is going to work!

OMG....I couldn't imagine moving at 36w. Are you even allowed to do that? I mean, I know that you are allowed to, but can't your dh get an extension based on the circ_mstances? well, it is the government though...my dh works for them as well and they aren't too compa__sionate about those things :)

I moved from PA to NC when my ds was 1 month old. but, I have plenty of friends that moved while pregnant. My advice would be try to find a local mommies group so tht you have support as soon as the baby is born. I also joined a cla__s- Gymboree so I could meet other moms in my neighborhood. As far as stress, good luck- but try to relax- unpack only necessary things- let others do the packing and make sure they label what's in the box so you know exactly what it is!!
