I am 25 weeks and my ribs on my right side have been sore all morning! I suppose its from pressure from everything expanding. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am having pain in my lower ribs on my left side. It's a dull pain and it does not hurt 24-7. I think its just the baby pushing my insides out of wack. Hope you feel better.

I'm 19 weeks and I've been woken up a couple times by intense pain under my ribs..like all in my solarplexis area. It feels like really hard tightening and it's hard to breath. Walking around helps. My mum's a nurse and says maybe it's gallbladder pain or maybe just abdomen muscles stretching.

I just had first pain in my upper back in the rib area. It was pretty intense and I got super light headed. I talked to my doc. by phone and she is sure it is my ribs expanding. If I don't let my tylenol wear off it is tolerable and it is not constant but intermittent. Have appt. on Friday and we will check it out then.

My ribs on the left really hurt by the end of the day. It's been going on for a few days. I'm 17w4d.

Christy: As of today I can relate. I had no problems with the ribs until this morning. I am 20.5 weeks and having ultra sound on Friday. I have experienced a ton of stretching which has been extremely uncomfortable, but this rib thing took me by surprise. My doc said to drink pleanty of water and take tylenol. I would suggest taking a tylenol 30 minutes before you generally feel the pain. It did help. A nice nap at lunch helped me too (of course I work 3 blocks from work too so I can afford a lunch time nap).

yes i experienced ribs pains on my left side as well, and im 5 months and my ribs becomes sore only at night time. I think its because I stay on my feet so much during the day thatall the pressure comes to me during the night when I'm not during nothing.

Jenn- I am expierencing this as well. Mine has been for the last 4 days. Its my right upper back/ribs. It feels like a pinched nerve and if i bend the wrong way it pinches and about makes me drop to the ground. I cannot sleep flat on my tummy or back, cuz of it and I dont get comfy on my side. My hubby is really concerned. But I told him if it really is a pinched nerve from all my organ being shipped up there, there is nothing they can do. I have had a cold for 5 wks and drs are watching me, but my hubby is wondering if my cold has turned into something else..??!!!??? Hope not. This pain started in my lower back above my hip and would even make my leg go numb occasionally. Now its my upper right. It could also be the position of the baby couldnt it?
