Numbness

I have been having numbness in my right hand for several weeks and I am getting worried, Any idea what could cause this... (I am 22 weeks pregnant)

It could be pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. I experienced it with my first child, and severely!...it was actually painful and I was forced to wear hand sprints to sleep at night. I am currently 19 weeks and have had some light numbness...I feel it mostly at night. It is common in pregnancy and usually disappears right after the baby is born. Mine was actually gone a couple weeks prior to delivery.

I am 38 weeks and for the past few days my right hand (and partially my left hand) have become very numb. It is a constant numbness and it worries me. It is so uncomfortable. I hope it goes away after birth.

I have the same problem which started from the 20th week. A friend told me to soak my hands in icy cold water for about 5 mins before going to bed. It helps to lessen the pain. When I woke up at nite feeling pain, I just let cold water from the tap run on my hands for a couple of mins.Hope this helps.

Avoid sleeping with yr head resting on yr affected hand.
