Painting Ok Or Not Ok

So I am painting the nursery and I've always thought that after the 1st trimester it's okay...as long as you keep a window open. So I decided to look in the pregnancy book (after I have painted most the room) and it says that it "shouldn't" be harmful...but you should have someone else do it just incase. What the heck..."shouldn't" are they even aloud to use that word...lol. Any ladies have any insite??

I've heard that if you use latex paint and keep it well ventilated it will be fine. I would wear one of those masks though, just to help...well, if you've done most of the room I guess not LOL. I'm sure that you'll be fine.

painting is fine as long as you are in a well ventilated area.........just pop open a window. I painted my sons nursery and my kitchen when I was pregnant with him, and I painted the nursery this time around as well. I double checked with my doctor first and she said it was fine....I never wore a mask either.....unless you wear one of those huge masks, a white mask isn't going to do you any good, those are used mostly for dust particles.

Thanks ladies!! I had the window open and a fan in the room so I think I am in the clear...lol. Hubby offered to paint...but it's our first little girl and I wanted to be the one to do the room...lol. Crazy I know. He is going to redo ds's room when we boot him into a big boy bed.
