hi ive just gone 22weeks pregnant, and my mums friend brought prenatal pill's back from america she said there good and she used them through her pregnancy, i will still check with my midwife if it's ok to use them..but i was wondering if its too late to start taking them or doesnt it matter when you take them? i'd like some advice please thanks

Are you just going to start taking prenatal vitamins at 22 weeks... they recommend taking them even before you try to get PG.....?????? If you haven't started taking them you should start right away.....

It is fine to start taking them now...but yes I am surprised they did not start you at your first visit...dont get upset about it though just talk with your midwife asap..and start taking them daily good luck

thanks for your answers and eyebeeablessing2u no one started me on pill's i was on folic acid till about 14weeks then my mums friend brought back these good pills from america so i was just wondering if starting them too late was ok...i'll see my midwife about them thanks again and merry xmas :)

Yes, you can start taking them now. It's good that you were on folic acid until 14 weeks because that is the most important ingredient in prenatals early on in your pregnancy. There are other vitamins that you need more now that are in prenatals so start taking them right away if you can.
