Hello, I have 20 week u/s on March 9th. Should I have a huge breakfast before I go in for u/s to make the little one to be more active for testing? I have appointment at 10:30Am. Should I keep drinking water until before the ultrasound? Please share your experiences (what kind of food you took? ..etc) For the last u/s I did not have breakfast and the baby was sleeping and I was sent to have a breakfast and I went back and the baby got more active after the breakfast. Please share..

I wouldn't go in to full of food b/c they may not be able to see as much with a full stomach, you are suppose to have a full bladder when you go. I wouldn't reccomend overfilling your bladder b/c it really makes the US uncomfortable.

i wouldn't gorge yourself on food! lol....but you should not starve either. i drank about 20 ounces of water 45 minutes before the appointment and felt like i was gonna burst and it still took about an hour for the exam because my bladder wasn't full enough to see the cervix. so don't eat like a horse, just eat a normal breakfast and drink your water like a good little girl....lol....

You can eat normally, but you shouldn't eat anything that day or the day before that causes gas as the ultrasound cannot 'see' through gas. I hear a soda or something sweet, also have heard that ice water makes baby active.
