Hi all, I will 19 weeks in a few days time and just wondered if anyone else often feels a pulsating in their tummy? I seem to feel it an awful lot, especially when I sit or lie down after moving about, and it's often in a different part of my belly. I think it's probably just all the blood pumping round. I'm also not sure if I've felt the baby move. I'm pretty sure I have, but I think sometimes I mistake the pulsating for a movement and I often don't feel it for days at a time. My scan isn't for another 18 days and I guess I'm just starting to getting a bit anxious. I have a doppler and can pick up hearbeat. Am I worrying unneccasarily? Thanks.

Hi BJB
I'm 22 weeks, and get that pulsating in my belly very often - pretty sure it's just all the extra blood etc around there, and it's nothing to worry about. Also, think it's quite normal not to feel movement yet. I felt it first around about 18 weeks, but lots of people apparently don't feel it until over 20 weeks with their first. Hope this helps!

We have 77 steep steps from the bottom of the building to our apartment door. I am always out of breath when I get to the top but I also get a pulsating feeling. It almost feels like my tummy i mirroring my heartbeat.

new mommy, I've been advised by my doctor that pregnant women should avoid going up/down long flights of stairs. The strain is not only bad for the mother, but increases the chances of a miscarriage, esp in the early and late stages of pregnancy.
