how far along should you stop sleeping on your tummie?

My doc said its fine until it gets too uncomfortable. The baby is protected but once you get bigger it sure doesnt feel good

I read the same thing - it's fine until it starts to bug you. It's laying on your back that's more of a problem, especially after 4 months, as that's where the blood supply to the baby is.

I sleep half on tummy half on side and use a nice big pillow between me and the bed allowing this. i cannot sleep on my back and have trouble sleeping on my side so this is the only way, i have slept like this throughout all my pregnancies right to the end. Also they say the left side is the best side to sleep on for good blood flow.

are you sure it's ok to use a pillow like that. I always slept on my tummy, and it would be nice to still be able to do it. I'm 14 weeks preg now.
