Sudafed

Hey guys, just curious about something. I have been having problems with allergies and a sore throat. My doctor said that Sudafed is the safest to take. Has anyone been told differently or had problems with this. I took some and it seemed to help but I ran out and the sore throat came back. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I was told Sudafed was okay, but only after 13 weeks. I had been taking generic Claritin for years, and when I got pregnant was told it was safe to continue. All the literature I got from the doctor's office also said that Benadryl and Chlor-Trimeton are safe. In May when my allergies kicked up big time, I told the dr. I wanted to know what else I could take, and they said Flonase nasal spray and Zyrtec were okay. I had 'em write me an Rx for Flonase, since I have taken it before. Ask any number of doctors, however, and you will get as many conflicting answers. Good luck!

Thanks lynnstress for the info. It seems that my allergies have been worse since I got pregnant. Just wanted to see what everyone else had been told.
