Thought it would be nice to have a thread to post the sweet and surprising things that have been done for us.

Well for me, yesterday i sent DH a text asking him if he got off work early if he could go by the store and get me some paint. (he likes how i draw so suggested i paint). Well he came home and gave me some charcoal pencils and i just thought o.k. this will do, and i turned around to stir the soup and he pops out the cutest pink bunny slippers in front of me. it put a huge smile on my face that he had gotten something for the baby and i just hugged him. Never expected that and i was so happy.

Ooohhhh Ma that is heartmelting!! I bet he loved being able to go and buy them and then see your expression when he showed you!! For me, My dh works away for months at a time and he called the ohter night and was quizzing me on all the different tests and milestones that I am reaching, and I was confused as to how he knew all of this in such depth as I had never really had a chance to tell him all about it, so I asked and he said he had driven into the closest towna nd had bought every book on pregnancy and being a new daddy and what I am going through that he could find and has read them all!! He reads each week what is happening with baby and me and is so understanding of my moods!! Very sweet to know that he wants so badly to be involved even though he is so far away. Makes me feel not so lonely! :)

How sweet, even though he is not right there with you he is keeping up on all the changes, and the fact that HE went out and looked for information is just awesome.

I gotta say the pink slippers and buying every book he could find are awesome... those r some good men u ladies have! while I was preggers I ended up on bed rest...dh would call me daily b4 he left work to find out was I was craving so he could bring it home...and he would do the housework since I couldn't..when I told him I felt terriable seeing him do that he said that's what he was supposed to do I just cried... its also the sweetest to watch him with his daughter... he just loves her dearly! I know its not big but I absolutely adore it!

what sweet guys you have. :) Can't think of a specific thing my dh has done, but, I had severe m/s and then got the stomach flu twice and then fell and couldn't walk or lift anything for a few days...and my dh did the housework, took care of our 17 month old dd, let me sleep in, cooked, shopped...and didn't complain. Poor guy has been working his b___t off. :) It's really very sweet.

Well I was in the hospital over the weekend with complications and am now on bedrest for a week. Everyone was super supportive and kept stopping by with gifts like books, mags my sister even gave me her portable DVD player and a book of her DVDs to borrow. My dh has been great, he wouldn't leave my side even slept in a recliner in my room. When we got home from the hospital yesterday he even cleaned up cat puke on the carpet and didn't even complain, haha.
