The Big Blood Test

My dr. did the big blood test on me yesterday or i guess it's also called the triple test. I'm a little over 15 weeks, but have heard it shouldn't be done until 16 cause you might get false positive. Anyone hear of this? My dr said that 15 weeks is fine to do this. I'm 27.

Marie Hi I just had my test done last week and I had a positive result! Not only that is was for trisomy 18 which is way worse than ds! they put my risk as 1/41 I am 35yrs old just turned 35 in July so I was not worried until I got the call and had to rush to my doctor's office I really just thought the worst! But today I went for my level 2 sono and I have none of the markers for ds or trisomy 18! My babay is healthy I opted out of the amnio felt like the sono was enough the doctor told me everything was growing perfectly normal and I found out I am having a boy! I have 2 already with myex husband but this will be my husbands first so we are excited! He was with me and I think he was as happy as I was this weekend I will finally feel good after a week of pure hell...if I were you I would read alot about this test and get imformed about it I am sure you won't get a possitive result just remember one thing if you do in over 90% of the women that have positive results are found to have healthy babies this is just a screening test keep that in mind well good luck to you I wish you the best...( :
