Emily - February 10

Hi, my name is Emily, the real one. I heard someone was imposeing as me again so I had to check it out. I do like the idea of chating with some ladies who are due about the smae time to compare notes. I have an 18th mo old and am due w/ my 2nd girl June 25. I am almost 21 weeks. Have been feeling the baby since about 18 weeks. Am really showing with no question now. But oddly enough haven't really gained much wieght. 4l bs is it. Would anyone like to join me in my wait till June or July! ?

Sara - February 10

Maybe someone else is named Emily, too?

ashley - February 10

Sara or any body else....This person who was impersonating emily, even went as far as to say they had a daughter with the same name/age and was having another girl and was naming it the same. We have had problems in the trying to get pregnant forum. It just gets frustrating when you just want others to talk to and you get a few bad apples in the bunch that are obviously attention deprived.

That's a little creepy/stalkerish!! Anways, I'm due "on or about" :o) July 13 and just turned 18 weeks on Wednesday. We are finding out what we are having on Febraury 27 and hopefully it'll be a boy, but it doesn't really matter! I have a 7 year old daughter as does my dh, both from previous relationships.

Emily - February 10

Congrats Steph, I hope you get your boy. I thought for sure I was gonna have a boy. Kept having dreams that it was a boy. Dh thougth so too, but he said he kept haveing diff vibes the past few weeks beofre we found out it is a girl. He didn't chnage his predidction though. Well we were wrong. He is taking this girl thing very well, he loves Mary so much and he can't wait to have a nother little girl. So have you picked out any names.

Steph - February 10

We are stuck with Trevor Andrew and for a girl we are thinking of Emma Jocelyn, but with me, that could change 20 times in the next few months!

Hi Emily, I can't believe people would actually try to pose as you and cause so much trouble. Unbelievable. Anycase, just wanted to join your thread as I'm due jun 26th(just a day after you!). This is our first, so we are very excited. And just last week, we found out it was a girl. Haven't picked out a name yet, but been searching. At least now, we can narrow our search to just girl names! I'm in my 21st week now, but haven't felt the baby move or anything. At least not that I could recognize any as such...my midwife said maybe next couple of weeks I should. I hope so! especially caz I read all these threads of baby movements and how amazing it is. I still can't believe I'm already 1/2 way past my pregnancy. I started to show mid-jan, so everyone now knows I'm pregnant. I feel so special!

Nita, hi! I didn't feel my 1st until I was past the 20 week mark. This time I felt it alot sooner cause A- second time moms tend to feel it sooner and B- I knew right away what it was, no mistaking it for gas this time around......Depending on what you got by my date has changed sio many times. 40 weeks from last period is 25, adding 7 dys and subtracting three months gives me the 26, my first u/s (at eight weeks) puts me at the 24 and my last u/s at 20 weeks puts me due the 20. So doc says lets say the 24 cause it is in between. I just like the 25 for what ever reason. Easy to remember, I guess. And Step, I like Emma for a name. I would have concidered it for a girl except my name is Emily and I dint' want to do that to my poor child. I like your boys name.

melanie - February 10

Hi Emily, can't you report that person or get that thread shut down or something? Well anyways like I said on the last thread I am 23 weeeks with a baby girl, we are naming her Alyssa. I have 2 year old twin boys and a 4 year old son this little girl was a surprise to me because I thought for sure another boy. But now I am done having babys 4 is enough for me. Emily what does little Mary have to say about having a little sister? My 2 year olds don't have much to say about theirs but my 4 year old doesn't seem to excited about another kid in the house thats going to be playing with his toys. lol

Emily - February 10

Mary is finnaly understanding that there is a baby in mommy's tummy. We kept telling her that, but I dont' think she got it right awya. She just started sleeping in a big bed and wehn we ask her if her sister can sleep in her crib, she ahakes her head no. But she will give my tummy a pat or a kiss and say "bay-be" she has to even pull up my shirt to do it. She knows the u/s pics are of the baby too. She will point to them and say, bay-be, and then point or pat my tummy. Other than that she doesn't say much. She only really say a few words at a time and most of them are a strech to understand. She is so cute though. I can't wait to have another gil now. I had a dream Mary was a girl, but other than that, didn't have a feeling so when I dreamt this one was a boyy, I a__sumed it was. The thing is I am not sure If I was dream ing about this one or the m/s. I got pregnant shortly after I m/c. I dreamt then that I had a boya nd could see him, he was invisable, a condidtion that my doc said would go a way in a few weeks. Well I tired and tried to nurse him, but it was hard, casu I could really see him and he wouldn't wake up. I tried on a plane and in a car, on a boat , and ina church, like it was a dr suess book or something. I dont' know, maybe the one I lost was a boy. i was only 10 weeks so it was too early to tell. I try not to dwell on that, but on Mary and her little sis. We plan on naming her Marcella and calling her Marcy. My family is so excited. My mom apparently really wanted another girl. and after one granddaughter and four daughters, I thought my dad waould want a boy, but he said way before we ever found out what it was, that he wanted a girl too! I guess I aim to please! lol! Melanie, steph, and nita , how old are you? how long were you trying with this one? I am 26. I tried for four months with Mary (it was more like I stopped taking the pill and four months later I was pregnant. I was about to get serous though and start to chart, but didn't need to) then I got pregnant again while on teh mini pill and nursing my dd. I lost it in Aug and was pregnant again by Oct. We decided to try again right away/ I am not sure if we'd be trying yet if I had not have gotten pregnatn while on the pill. Sometimes it jsut works out!

melanie - February 10

Well Emily I am sorry about you m/c I had one too but that was a long time ago and the very first time I got pregnant. I was only 16 and well I didn't make very good decisions back then. I am 24 now and have never really haad a problem ttc. with my first son I got preg the first month. with the twins well I guess you could say they were kind of an accident. My dh only used condoms at the time but I guess the twins riped right through it because thats how I got them. and with this one I got preg the first month after haviong my IUD taken out. I get pregnant so easily I am afraid to hang my clothes in the same closet and my dh lol. Emily I like the name Marcella it sounds very pretty and feminine

Emily - February 10

that is very funny, clothes in the same closet. I have never had a problem getting pregnant either....Four months at the time ssemed like a long time, but it isn't really considering what some people have to go through. I am very lucky....and McNugget, really? I had to laugh at that one! Well I am off for awhile. I probably won't have time to check in over the weekend, but I will check back with you all on Monday, have a great weekend!

Emily - February 13

hey anyone still around, melanie, steph, nita? How was everyone's weekend?

Nita - February 13

Hi Emily, I'm 31 yrs old and this is our 1st. We were trying for this one for 4-5 months, didn't realize until then that it could be so difficult nor it would take so long. After a couple of months of trying, went in to my ob-gyn for routine checkup as well as ask about what could be wrong. She originally said they don't typically do any tests for young folks like us until we've been trying for a yr or so. You could've imagined our disappointment. She consulted with another dr and they got a blood test done, it turned out that I had high prolactin levels which could've been a potential cause. So I was put on Dostinex and after a month or so, my levels were back to normal. I got pregnant in I think 2 months on the medication. When I missed my period that first time, I couldn't believe I was pregnant. I waited 3-4 days before I called my ob clinic and they ordered a blood test. You know, after 4-5 months of trying and getting disappointed when the period shows up, I wasn't really believing it. The same day I gave the blood test, I also got home an EPT. Both dh and I anxiously waited the results which came back as a faint +. The test said even faint was positive...so you can imagine our excitement when we finally learnt from the clinic that I was indeed pregnant! :) DH wanted to tell the news to our parents right away, but I still wasn't sure. We waited till after our 1st appt at 9 weeks where we saw our little 'peapod' on the ultrasound. I started to cry right on the table. My eyes still water up writing/thinking about that. I blame it on the hormones! ;P Am glad you ladies were able to get pregnant with no problems. Lucky ones!

Emily - February 13

It took me 4 month to get preg w/ my first. I went off bc pills in June tested pos in Nov. She is now 18 mos. I got preg again while on the mini pill and nursing dd who was 11 mos at the time. I m/c at 10 weeks so we decieded we were ready for another. I had one period after teh d&c (it was diagnosed as a missed m/c cause my body wasn't getting rid of it so I had to have surgery, as if losing a baby wasn't hard enough) but by the time my second period was due, I was pregnant again, so I am one of the lucky ones, no real problem getting preg. feeling the liottle one move yet? I am feeling my little one. She is getting to be very active! I am in maternity clotes now. My old tops were too short and my old pants havent fit for awhile. I have been wearing pull on jeans casue teh maternity jeans are still too big, but the tops are jsut right, like the three little bears or something! lol! Have the nursery finished yet?

melanie - February 13

Hi goodmorning I am here. I haven't been on all weekend I am trying to potty train my twins so I have to watch them all the time since I have 2 naked kids running around. any tips for me? Emily I am in maternity clothes too at first when I wore them they just looked weird but now I am big enough to fill them in so I am glad about that. I don't have my nursery even started. we are adding an addition to our house and are still trying to get the permits from the city. But I don't think it will even be done by the end of may. Emily do you still get nauseaus (sp) every onece in a while? I get these days that out of nowhere I have to run to the bathroom to throw up.

Nita - February 13

No nursery yet. Have picked out the room and all. We actually made one trip to babiesrus and was confused with the tons of choices out there from cribs to strollers!! Haven't dared to go back yet, but have to create the baby registry etc. Time is surely flying by, can't believe I'm already 1/2 way past my pregnancy. But at our last trip, we really loved these set of bibs and bedding set(which was on sale!) and bought them! Both in neutral colors as we didn't know the baby's gender yet. Now that we know we have a little girl, having second thoughts about the two. lol. I'm sure I'll change my mind plenty of times before we the babies arrive. Have you created a baby registry yet? Since this is our 1st, everything seems so overwhelming at times. Melanie, I sometimes do feel nauseas and run to the bathroom to throw up. Last time I attributed to over eating/indigestion. I was munching on cheerios all afternoon(never liked them before, but now I do!) and then went home to have a gla__s of chocolate milk (thinking I need to have a snack!). By the way, have you been successful in eating small meals/snacks every 2-3 hrs instead of three main meals. I seem to have trouble with that...still doing breakfast, lunch & dinner mostly.
