Thinned Cervix At 20 Weeks

I found out last week that my cervic is is thinned about 35%. I have been put on restricted movement and the more I read, the more I am starting to get really worried. I am worried about miscarriage, what if my cervix continues to thin, will I carry this baby to full term? My doctor does not feel I need a cerclage at this point but may need to if it continues to thin. Has this happened to anyone?

well right now your baby only weighs 1lb.it would be extremely difficult for a baby to survive that early and if by chance one did live it would have a whole world of problems.in 3 more wks your baby would have a better chance of survival.

do your self a favour, severe bed rest. trust me! have your hubby or whoever to look after you. i heard of a lady who was diagnosed this and told to rest so that her baby would make at least 25 weeks, to give it a chance. she did, but she carried on resting, she just stayed in bed, she did reading, etc, but her husband even gave her sponge baths. this may sound silly but that woman managed to carry her child to 37 weeks before going into labour and delivering a healthy 7lb baby girl! i know this sounds hard espicially at christmas time, but for your babys sake, rest rest rest! hope ive helped
