I am approximately 20 weeks.I have not been feeling so great. I've been hot... EXTREMELY tired, I dont eat very much... my tummy has been cramping...and I've been having sharp pains in my tummy. My back has been killing me...expecially after I poop. I can barely sleep although I am extremely exhausted. I'm puffy from swelling. My head is pounding, I get out of breath easily... is everything I am feeling normal???

I would call your doctor, based on the swelling alone. Could you possibly have the flu? Have you taken your temperature? Yeah, definately call your doctor. At 20 weeks you can still have morning sickness, but all in all you should feel the best you've felt since your pregnancy started. Good luck to you, and please give an update.

Hi Christi..I would call your doctor to put your mind at ease, however what you describe is not all uncommon for some women. I have felt, to some degree: back pain, sharp (ligament pain) like cramps here and there, headaches, sleepless nights from just being plain uncomfortable, and a little swelling in my right foot when I have stood a lot during the day. I think the key, though, is the moderation. Anything you are feeling too much - like to the point of being miserable - should be brought to the attention of your doctor. Excessive swelling could be a sign of high blood pressure, bad cramping could be a warning sign of infection, etc....so give your doctor a call and she what she says.
