Weight Wonders

hi preggos. i just have an issue i need some consulting on. prepregnancy, i was probably 100 lbs (5'3'), maybe less. im 26 weeks right now, and weigh 126lbs. i know im suppose to put on weight, but i worry that i may over indulge and put on too much and birth would be complicated. on the other hand, i worry that if i dont put on enough weight, baby may be small and i want him to be healthy. so im wondering how much weight i should put on the rest of the pregnancy, because doesnt baby put on more weight during these times? thanks much in advance!

This is a good question to ask your doctor. Anytime a person starts off even a little underwieght it seems like they are advised to gain weight. The most important thing to rember is to not cut back on your regular calories. If you get all your servings of protein, vegetables, grains, fruits and vitamins your body will gain the proper amount. The quality of your diet makes a much bigger differnce than the quant_ty. Your weight gain will probably slow way down in a few weeks. And if you keep up eating in a healthy weight the weigt loss after baby will be a whole lot easier.
