I am 21 weeks pregnant and my face is breaking out like crazy. I am worried to use anything that could harm the baby. Any advise on face wash or what is safe to use during pregnancy?

I am 17 weeks and just my skin is just starting to clear up finally, I broke out like crazy too. The only thing that helped me was washing my face morning and night with a gentle exfolient and not putting on moisturiser or anything oily like sunscreen etc. The breakouts gradually dried up and I'm not getting them too bad anymore. My obstet. said most normal acne preparations are fine, as long as you don't use some medicated ones and only use topical preparations ie creams and lotions, not tablets. Check with a local chemist if your not sure.

Mine is a bit more embarrising than that. I get cold sores occasionally , but since I became pregnant I have gotten AT LEAST one a month. My doctor gave me a prescription medicine for it which helps, but it still b__ws. Talk to your doctor, there might be a prescription medication for acne that s/he can prescribe for you which insurance will cover. Insurance covered mine since it was happening because of pregnancy.

WASH YOUR FACE WITH A FACE CLOTH AND AS HOT AS YOU CAN STAND HOT WATER. THEN APPLY RUBBING ALCOHOL WITH A COTTON BALL TO THE ACNE AREA. SOUNDS CRAZY BUT IT WILL WORK AND CLEAR UP IN UNDER A WEEK. GOOD LUCK!

I am not sure how to pop the kind on my shoulders because they arent like zits you have on your face. Any suggestions?

I have it on my back and my doctor gave me erythromicin (sp?) pads to wash with but they don't work. Now the acne is gone but I have this ugly dark spots all over my back. I don't know what to do?

I have struggled for years with severe acne and I know the scars you are referring to. Mine has never been on my face but on my back and legs and sometimes my stomach. I found that Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Bar is great and it leaves you feeling refreshed. It seemed to help a lot. The erythromyacin (sp) did not help me either. Actually very little has helped me. But on a good note the scars will fade and disappear and tanning seemed to really help.

i use Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser every day and mine has cleared up some. But every one is different with the types of products they can use. But watch what you eat, which can cause breakouts and also dont change any shampoos, soaps, detergents or anything like that, stick with what you always use. this will be better for your skin
