We had our 20 week scan yesterday. We have a high risk for D/S from out AFP test at 15 weeks. The Sonographer found no soft markers and could find no abnormalities - they measured the Nuchal fold which is 4.8mm - but nobody has told us is this is normal or not anybody else know?

you can find this info out on the internet. I remember I had the same question after my scan and looked it up - but now I forgot what the response was. I was fine. Good luck finding it.

well when i had my level 2 I was at around 17wks (high risk for trisomy 18) and they told me that if there was ds it would be like 6. something they would have let you know right away if it was too thick that would have been a major soft marker...when I had mine done the neonatal doctor came in and went over my results and explained everything thank God no markers at all for ds or trisomy 18!!

Just to let you know - i had a chat with a consultant yesterday who told me that 4.8 was normal its over 6mm that is a marker for Downs.
