Does Sperm Cause Premature Labour

i am 32 weeks pregnant and still want to have s_x with my husband, but ive heard that in the 3rd trimester that sperm can cause you to go into labour early as the male hormones can kickstart labour, is this true? and does this mean that we have to avoid s_x from until i give birth

I'm 33 weeks and s_x is fine and completely safe until your water breaks. Yes, sperm does contain a chemical that may dialate your cervix, but it's very low...so unless you have a high risk pregnancy and your doctor tells you to no longer have intercourse...go for it :)

I looked this up in "What to Expect When You're Expecting," and it says that the existing medical evidence on this subject is confusing. They seem to think that it is up to your pract_tioner. It also seems that a newer prevailing suggestion is to use condoms in the last eight weeks of pregnancy to prevent possible infection from intercourse and to keep "irritant protaglandins in s____n from tirggering premature contractions." I would ask your health care provider to be sure. The condom thing can't hurt, though.
