Vibrators During Pregnancy

are vibrators safe to use during pregnancy, and also what about lube?

I think the vibrations are dangerous for the baby. It could interrupt its developing brain waves and cause brain birth defects.

I am going to play devil's advocate to Jamie. I don't think that vibrators are dangerous at all. There haven't been any studies proving that vibrators pose any kind of risk to an unborn fetus. For example, my daughter is completely normal (she is currently 20 months old) and my husband is a firefighter. This means he is only home every other day. I was so HORNY during my pregnancy, that I played with toys when he wasn't home. I hope this puts your mind at ease. As far as the lubricants, you have a mucus plug that forms in your cervix around 4 weeks... this protects your baby from microscopic organisms, and I am sure it keeps lube out, too. Have at it if it makes you feel good. If you feel pain or discomfort, discontinue it.

There is absolutely no scientific research regarding any adverse issues toward vibrator usage. The vibrations caused by the toy are not vigorous enough to affect the cervix or fetus. The only contraindication would be to avoid penetration with a vibrator or s_x toy into the v____a to reduce risk of infection by bacteria on the toy. Be sure to clean the vibrator after each use. Bohnwin, I'm sorry someone would offer such information about your child having an issue such as poor brain functioning. The reason Japanese and Chinese students excel at math and other skills is not due to a lack of vibrator usage! I'd love to see that study! Here's wishing everyone a happy s_x life while pregnant.
