ok...i know that when you are ovulating the line will be darker than the control line...and if it's lighter than the control line you're not ovulating. but my question is this... last month when i did the opk i didn't get any line at all..not even a really faint one. today i got a faint line. does that mean ovulation is coming up soon? according to my cycle (which is all screwed up due to a m/c in april) i should o around the 24th. i just don't want to miss any opportunity i might have...it is possible to o early isn't it? but i just got done with af about a week ago. i'm just confused. should i just use an opk every day till i get a +?? any info would help. thanks a lot!!!

There is always some luteinizing hormone present, it is just that it surges in preparation for ovulation. Since your overall level seems to be low, maybe you should be charting as well (www.fertilityfriend.com) to confirm that ovulation is actually occurring.

I would reccomend Fertility Friend also. The only true way to know if you O'd is if you see a thermal shift in your temps. Unfortunately, by the time FF tells you you have O'd it is usually too late to catch the egg. BUT, if you chart for a few months you can learn about your cycle and kind of figure out when O is approaching before it's too late. You can enter the results of OPK, cervical mucous, cervix position, and BD along with several other things all of which FF uses to determine your O date. Good luck and Baby Dust to you.
