OK. so under normal circ_mstances how soon can you get a positive blood test??? is 5 days after ovulating too soon????

anyone?

I believe that is too soon. I have heard that they can be accurate as early as 7-8 days past ovulation. But someone else might have heard differently.

i thought it was longer than that

I went to the docotor on my lunch and had a pap, can this hurt the baby if I am preg. I didn't want to ask him because he is very anti baby and always push some form of birthcontrol(and I don't even have kids)

i don't thin it will hurt

Lana B - no, the pap shouldn't hurt the baby at all. They're just sc___ping a few cells off the cervix, and testing you for infections etc. At my docs office, a pap is routinely scheduled on the second prenatal visit. I think if I were you, I'd look for another doc if this one doesn't prove to be supportive!

unfortunatly i live in a tiny town and there are only 2 one is booked a year in advance and the other is mine, what i think i will do is just start going to the hospital directly whether they like it or not (can they turn you away?)

D how soon do you think i should get the blood test?

i would like to know too?

I would personally wait at least 10 days after you ovulate because that's still about 4 days before you are even due for AF. Most accurate would be to wait until you are due, but i know it's hard! Good luck!

I agree with Jena. The test I used said to wait until the day after you expected your period. If you're in the store looking for one, check the boxes - I think they usually say (hopefully on the outside, not just the inside!)
