last af was 6/23. today i am cd15. according to o calendar, i o on 7/9(fertile 6th-11th). is it possible i could have o'ed yesterday at cd14 regardless of what calendar stated? at cd13 and most especially at cd14 i was so "wet" with clear watery discharge all over the place(tmi, sorry). At one point even thought i had peed on myself. But of course, I know I didn't. Even felt some slight cramps/twinges throughout the day. should i start counting o from cd14? what do u guys think?

I would count cd 14 as ovulation, just to play it safe. I have also found that when charting sometimes it says I O earlier, then my ovulation predictors give a positive. Also, I always go by cm, it is pretty accurate for me. Try buying some ovulation predictor test, this will take the guess work from it. I buy them online much cheaper!

Hi J. There is no real foolproof way to pinpoint the exact day of ovulation. At the very best we can only pay attention to all our body signs, use a calendar only as a rough guide based on our own personal cycle dates, monitor our LH surge through the use of OPK's to be alerted to impending ovulation, and monitor our basal temperatures to confirm ovulation due to a thermal shift after it happens. You have an intimate relationship with your own body and can pay close attention to your signals. If you are having very wet CM, then you are most likely fertile now. If you have yet to check cervical position, internal CM, use opk's and take your basal temp every morning before you get out of bed....then the best you can do is use those ovulation calendars to know when the most likely WEEK for you is....and then BD every or every other day for the ten days surrounding that week, until your CM dries up or gets a sticky thick consistency which is a bad environment for sperm and would suggest that your fertile time is over.

Hey j.....how long is your cycle usually? If you are a 28/29 day cycle, CD14 would be a good estimate of O day for you. But then again it takes charting for awhile to know how long your luteal phase is ( length of days btw O & AF ) to be able to get a more accurate a__sumption. The luteal phase can be different for every woman, but once you know what length yours is, it doesnt vary very much every cycle, especially if you are regular every month-- and then you can subtract that number from your cycle length and know a little better the day you O.....its the follicular phase ( length of days btw AF and O ) that can vary if you are irregular...

thanks so much for all the 411 girls. zen, believe me, i was thinking of us both when posting this question. thanks kim. jeanette, my cycles have always been very regular at 28/29 at the latest 30. never more than 30 but last month actually had me believe i was pg but af came 4 days late. so i'm averaging about 29 days i guess. i will take u girls' word for it and county today as 1dpo, while still monitoring my body, cm etc..until the 9th like the calendar says. thanks again girls.**baby dust**

Besides, ladies getting the exact day isn't what matters. The several days LEADING up to ovulation are the only ferile time. Maybe, the day of, but some studies say no. And after ovulation is over, definatly not fertile. If the sperm are alive and waiting for the egg to pop out, that will be your best chances. BEST TO YOU ALL!
